WIKI..... I chose to create a wiki on onomatopoeias, which I would use when introducing this lesson to my students. I really enjoyed making it, and I think wiki’s are a great way to motivate students and get them excited to learn about various topics. I would change it up a little for each class, and have different classes view others’, so students are not reading the same ones over and over again. In this way, students can benefit and learn more from others’ work than from their classmates alone. Different wiki’s would be necessary for each course, and it would be useful as a content delivery tool. I especially like the discussion feature, in which students can benefit from each others’ insights and comments. I don’t think I would use it for note taking and collaborative projects, but rather as a medium for introducing or reviewing lessons being taught. All in all, I think wikis are a great way to incorporate technology into the classroom, and help make learning fun and interactive!
